A room of things
I kept.

This is a record of things I tried to understand by making them. Some became tools. Some became worlds. Some became old folders I refused to delete.

Nothing here was selected for importance.

v. “Kept” is generous. Nothing was properly thrown away.

The names changed.
A few questions did not.

Choose one to see where it returned. This is the nearest thing to an explanation of the path.

the whole drawer

No hierarchy. No featured project. Only the order in which things happened.

Folders in the order
I found them.

Dates are reliable. Interpretations have been added later and should be treated accordingly.

A small 2D graphics and game library. Windows, rectangles, text, groups, events—the pieces needed to make the first move without asking permission from an engine.

The most recent commits are called “Show me the night sky” and “Warbringer.”
what survived

A lasting suspicion that tools should make the beginning easy without making the outcome generic.

v. The chronology creates an impression of intention. Be careful with it.

Not everything left
a repository.

Some work happened in old games, notebooks, conversations, and rooms that disappeared when everyone went home.

01

Followers who want to live

Skyrim combat, spell rhythm, distance, memory, voice. It began with one follower attacking too slowly and became an argument about artificial self-preservation.

02

A smaller mind, thinking carefully

Experiments in making compact models expose assumptions, use evidence, and stop confusing more words with more thought.

03

Sir Vlad and Mirehold

A campaign, a place, and a character built in the untracked medium of a table. Some systems are supposed to survive only in other people’s memory.

04

Arguments that do not compile

The halting problem, P versus NP, the anatomy of a claim. Not every investigation needs to end as software to have changed the next program.

This is not the best path.

It is not the most efficient one either. I learned by making things slightly too large for what I knew, then living with the consequences long enough to learn the missing part.

The scale changed. The habit did not. A language became a tool, a tool became a world, a world became a question about memory—and sometimes the question quietly returned to being a small script that moves folders around.

v. He would like the final sentence to sound accidental. It is not.
